Preeja SreedharanPreeja Sreedharan was born on 13th February in the year 1982 at Mullakkanam in Kerala. She is a long distance runner who has represented India in the 2006 Asian Games at Doha. She has also represented India at the 2007 Asian athletics championships held in the Amman. In the Asian Games, she finished 5th in the 5,000m as well as 10,000m races. She has won a silver medal in the 10,000m on July 26, 2007 at the Asian athletics championships.

K.M.Binu  is a 26-year-old Keralite who has received the Arjuna Award for 2006 who is the only athlete in the honors list this year.

K M Binu had reached the semifinals of the 400m at the Athens Olympics, and in the process, broke the 34-year-old record held by the legendary Milkha Singh with his timing of 45.48 seconds. Binu had also claimed the silver medal in the 800m at the Busan Asian Games in 2002.In the Doha Asian Games in December 2006, K M Binugot silver medal in the 4x400 m relay. K M Binu also known as Beenamol had been bestowed with the country`s highest sports award, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, in 2002 and the Arjuna Award two years earlier.
