It took her 148 winless starts before she finally found the victory recipe and won her first LPGA Tour title at the Evian Masters last year.
Gulbis needed a birdie at the last to defeat Korea's Jeong Jang and the Question now is this: Can she pull off a Padraig Harrington and successfully defend the title when it again comes up for grabs at Evian-Les-Bains in France this week.
And this in a powerful field which, in it's 15th year overall and ninth as a joint LPGA and Let event, will be missing just one of it's previous winners in Japan's Hiromi Kobayashi.

The Evian Masters is the first on the LPGA's three-event European swing, the next two being the Women's British Open, the final women's major of the year, and the Canadian Women's Open.
