Yelena Isinbayeva A Woman With Wings
Friday, November 21, 2008
Image by arik.elimelech via Flickr American pole vaulter, Jenn Stuczynski, told some reporters that she was ready to go to China and "kick some Russian butt." She should have never said that for her own good. By saying that just made Yelena Isinbayeva more eager to win gold medals and break her own records. You just don't say this kind of thing to a heroine, to a strong and self confident athlete. Jenn just made Yelena Isinbayeva even stronger.
This is what Isinbayeva had to say of Stuczynski's "Russian butt" remark:
"It wasn't nice, first of all, she must respect me. And she must know her position." "Now she knows it."
What a woman, what an athlete Yelena Isinbayeva is. So strong, so kind, polite, so beautiful, hopeful, positive, so....so perfect. She broke today the women's pole vault Olympic and the World Records in the Olympic 2008 Beijing Games. It was amazingly exciting to see her flying over the bar higher and higher each time.
